Ingredients
Apple, cinnamon desert cake
- 250 grams plain yoghurt
- 2 eggs
- 180 grams of sugar
- 1 level teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 280 grams of plain flower
- 1/2 level teaspoon of salt
- 1 level teaspoon bicarb of soda
- 2 heaped teaspoons of cinnamon
- 500 grams of apples, quartered and cored

- Preaheat oven to 160 fan forced - line the base of a spring form pan and oil the sides
Place apples into bowl, and chop 5 secs, speed 5 and set aside
Add to the bowl yoghurt and eggs mix 8 seonds, speed speed 4 and scrape down the bowl
Add sugar and vanilla mix 10 seonds, speed 4 and scrape down the bowl
Add the four, salt, bicarb, and ground cinnamon mix 10 seconds speed 4
Remove jug and fold in the apples with your spatula, making sure you move the bottom mix to the top
Put into spring form pan and bake for approx an hour
NOTE Some of the apples will sink to the bottom but some will blend through the batter
Tip
Delicious served with custard, brandy custard chantilly cream
