Kids loved it. Reduced sugar as per previous comments and didn't add the icing.

Super simple and delicious. This has become a regular in our household and I don't bother with the icing (it's super yummy without it)

The first couple of times I made this I completely missed the line about storing in the fridge, and kept it in the bench like I do with all my other slices, and it was very crumbly. Now I keep it in the fridge it is perfect. I reduce the sugar down to about 130g.

Really yum! Was a bit crumbly so I might add a bit more butter next time or as some else suggested some dates. My girls were gobbling it up before I could ice it! Thanks for sharing!

Tasty.  I found it to be a little crumbly even though I stuck to the recipe.  I had to allow a few minutes for my thermie to drop temperature before Dough mode"Dough mode" step.    I didn't ice it as I think that would have made it too sweet.  It all got eaten so that's a good sign.

amazing! just like i remember tmrc_emoticons.) I did take the sugar right down to 70grams, and with no icing. It really doesnt need any extra sugar tmrc_emoticons.)

Lovely recipe. I made exactly as stated and it worked beautifully. I would try reducing the sugar slightly next time however I would say to those saying their slice was dry or crumbly that the sugar content is important for more than just the sweetness..it also adds bulk and moisture. Each time you reduce the sugar particularly in a baking recipe you are altering the outcome. It may still work but it will be different to what was posted tmrc_emoticons.)

just made this and it tastes great, but it fell apart?  Anyone know why?  I didn't add the full amt of sugar after reading the comments, only 80g.   Thanks
