Chow Mein

  • 500g mince
  • 1 brown onion, cut into wedges
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 40g olive oil
  • 1 carrot, Sliced in rounds
  • 150g mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced
  • 1/2 cabbage, Thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2tbs soy sauce
  • 2 Packets noodles, or noodles of choice
  • 50g oyster sauce
  • 1tbs curry powder
  • 1/2tbs chicken stock paste
  • 250g water

Recipe's preparation

    Brown Mince - HIGH TEMP
  1. Open Cookidoo "Beef Tacos' recipe so that you can use high temp mode. Follow step 2 - 6. Chop garlic, add onion and mince in 2 batches. Add all mince to bowl, add curry powder Cook 1 min / 90 deg / spoon speed. Set mince aside in Thermoserver.
  2. Chow Mein
  3. Place carrot, celery and mushrooms in bowl with a splash of olive oil. Cook 10 mins / 100 deg / REVERSE sp1/. Scrape sides of bowl.
  4. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, water, stock paste. Cook 6 mins / 100 deg / REVERSE speed 0.5.
  5. Add cabbage and peas. Cook 6 mins / 85 deg . REVERSE speed 0.5
  6. Add sauce and veg to Thermoserver with mince, stir to combine.
  7. Cook 2 min noodles or other noodles as per instructions and add to Thermoserver with mince.

Tip

You can cook noodles by placing in a thermoserver with boiling water for a few mins.
