Ingredients

Meatloaf

  • 100 g brown onion, peeled & halved
  • 900 g Beef mince
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoons plain flour
  • 20 g Worcestershire sauce
  • 80 gram Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • pinch salt
  • pinch pepper, ground

Sauce

  • 10 g brown sugar
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 3 tablespoons chutney, fruit

Recipe's preparation

    Meatloaf
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a loaf pan with baking paper. Place onion in mixing bowl, chop 15 seconds/speed 8.

  2. Add minced beef, eggs, flour, worcestershire sauce, milk, dried herbs, curry powder, soy sauce, salt & pepper, knead 2 minutes.

  3. Transfer meat mixture to prepared loaf pan, press mixture down evenly. Place prepared meatloaf on baking tray. Bake meatloaf for 20 minutes. In the mean time prepare the sauce.

  5. Place bowl on mixing bowl lid, weigh in the brown sugar & olive oil. Measure in mustard powder and fruit chutney. Mix well with spoon and set aside.

  6. Brush cooked meatloaf with combined sauce and return to oven for a further 20 minutes. Allow meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
