    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Just delicious. I used thighs and it worked a treat. Love how you can just throw everything in and leave the Thermomix to do its job. Thankyou😋

Great recipe!! Quick, easy and yummy.
I reduced the honey by half to 80 grams and that was plenty sweet enough for us.

I have ammended the recipe to be Chicken Thigh fillet (as the breast tends to shred). The thigh seems to hold together better - just make sure you don't cut it up too small.

The creamy sauce with the sweetness of the peanut butter and honey combination married with the complexity of cardamom, seed mustard and curry made this dish succulent and delicious. After reading comments about the possibility of the chicken shredding, I used reverse soft speed and reduced the heat to 100 for 15 minutes. It was a huge hit! i recommend accompanying it with Seppelts Fleur de Lis (vintage).

Made this for dinner tonight and tastes yum.  The chicken did shred a bit in reverse but I expected that.  Question, when cooking is it best to have the mc on or the basket?

  • 13. September 2016 - 18:50

Hmm ... Thats unusual ... Are you sure you had the blade in reverse ?  Chicken should never puree on reverse setting ?  Sometimes it can become shredded if cut into small pieces, but not sure how it would have pureed ?
