I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Place onion into thermomix and chop.
Place all other ingredients (except gow gee wrappers) into the thermomix. Mix on reverse until just combined.
Place spoonfuls of mixture onto the middle of each gow gee wrapper. Fold opposite sides together, then fold in the ends and pinch together at the top (to look like money bags - see photo).
Place dumplings onto the varoma tray.
Fill thermomix bowl with 900g water. Place varoma tray into position and steam for 15 minutes on speed 3.
Tip
I usually make a dipping sauce for the dumplings with a bit of hoi sin sauce and soy sauce mixed together.
Serve with fried rice.

Wow, these money bags steamed dumplings look absolutely scrumptious! 😍 I love how versatile dumplings can be, and this recipe seems like a perfect way to indulge in some savory goodness. The combination of minced meat and aromatic spices wrapped in delicate dumpling skins sounds divine.
Quick, easty and tasty.
For the amount of mince I think we need about 4 or 5 packets of wonton wrappers. ?
Definately make these again! Although i used 1/2 prawn mince and 1/2 pork!
How many dumplings does this recipe make?
my son loves dumplings so to increase his vegie intake I add cabbage and carrot them and also make them with chicken minced in my TM - great recipe
Bancho I just loooove any type of dumpling and Yum Cha would have to be my favourite way to dine. I'm off on holidays on Saturday to Thailand for almost two weeks. Enrolled in a cooking school while there so hopefully I will be able to bring back heaps of recipes to convert to TM.
