Ingredients

San Chow Bow

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 cm fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 brown onion, small
  • 2 red chilli
  • 500 g pork mince
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Shao Hsing Chinese wine or dry sherry
  • 3 sprig fresh coriander
  • 4 shallots, chopped
  • 230 g tin water chestnuts
  • 4 mushrooms
  • 1/2 Capsicum
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • baby cos lettuce

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Place mushrooms, water chestnuts, capsicum and coriander into mixing bowl and chop 2 sec/speed 5. Transfer water chestnut mix into a seperate bowl and set aside.

  2. Place ginger, garlic, brown onion and chilli into mixing bowl and chop 5 sec/speed 7.

  3. Add the sesame oil and saute for 3 mins/Varoma/speed 1.

  4. Add the minced pork and cook for 10 mins/VaromaCounter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1.

  5. Add the water chestnut mix, soy sauce, oyster sauce, chinese wine, cornflour and cook for a further 3-4 minutes/Varoma/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1.

  6. Add the shallots and stir through 30 sec/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 2.

  7. Serve in lettuce leaf cups.
