- Add the beef and sauté for 3 minutes/varoma/reverse + speed 1.
- Add the coconut milk to the TM bowl and cook for 10 minutes/100 degrees/reverse + speed 1.
- Add the fish sauce, palm sugar and lime juice and cook for a further 10 minutes/100 degrees/reverse + speed 1.
- Blanch the noodles in boiling water (or cook as directed) and divide between serving bowls.
- Pour over the curry mixture and garnish with shallots, coriander leaves and lime wedges (and sliced chilli if you like it extra spicy!)
Serves 4
Tip
When you're buying egg noodles, look out for brands that have no added colours (which are very hard to come by these days!) If you get stuck you can substitute them with Hakubaku Organic Japanese Noodles (eg udon, soba, etc) which have no added nasties - you can find them in the Asian groceries aisle in most major supermarkets. For a gluten-free option, use rice noodles instead.

Unfortunately, my experience with this recipe wasn't as positive as everyone else's. It was very tasty but:
1. The beef strips got caught up around the blade and were hard to remove - perhaps they were too long?
2. I only added 2 cups coconut milk instead of 4 cups, as that's all I had in the pantry. Even so, there was more than enough liquid. (As a general comment/question, I have found that all the curry dishes I've tried in the past month since I've had my TM have far too much liquid. I'd love to know if this is the only way you can do a curry in the TM. Can anyone tell me if it's necessary to have a lot of liquid in stirred meat dishes?)
3. Beef strips cook really quickly. I felt that the total cooking time was far too long for beef fillet, especially beef eye fillet.
Delicious! I used chicken and it was lovely. Thanks for posting
Loved it! Also added abc sauce, thinly sliced snow peas and cabbage. Thanks.
Very tasty and simple to make. Thank you for sharing.
This is absolutely wonderful food!!! I tweaked it a bit: added lots of leek, 400 ml of coconut milk and toasted sesame seeds, udon noodles. Better than anything I ever tasted in a restaurant and seconds were for free... Thanks a million for the recipe!
This is now a regular in our house - we LOVE it! I always just use gravy beef and vermicelli and it's AWESOME!
Yumm!! I just made this tonight, my husband is still raving about it, wanting it once a week!! It was also a winner with my 4 yr old and my brother whose here for a visit. Will definitely make this dish again!! I used soba noodles instead of egg noodles. Thanks for such a yummy and easy recipe !!!
