Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

yes this is very true. Glad you figured it out! I hadnt realised that I missed a step in my instructions! Loving the broccolini! Will have to try that
so sorry for the delay. how did you go? I missed the step of adding an extra 10 minutes! my apologies.
Yes so sorry I hadnt noticed that I missed a step! I added another 10 minutes cooking time. I did check my top layered veg to make sure they werent too 'mushy' so this would depend on how thick they are chopped. Hope it works well for you, its been a big hit around here x
Hi Macro, we just wish to highlight that Varoma temperature should not be used with speeds higher than 2. This is stated in the Instruction Manual.

Agree with the above comments. I realised the cooking time would have to increase as the chicken thighs sat on top of one another in the bottom tray. I decided to use the basket and had vegies for a soup as well as the ones in the top layer - which incidently, required more cooking also. I added another 10min cooking time and had the speed at 3. There was no speed mentioned in the recipe also. I believe that can make a difference to the cooking time. I'm still pretty new at using the TM for these sort of meals.
Well, after the extra 10min Varoma, speed 3, the chicken was nearly done. The pumpkin, sweet potato and carrot were actually pretty good and I could have put them in the thermoserver. However, I added my broccholi, turned the chicken around again and cooked for another 10min - Varoma, speed 3. The vegetable cooking time also depends on how they are cut.
Overall, it turned out well.
I'd like to know how long to cook the chicken after turning, too! Please let us know! I'll guess tonight but it'd be handy to know the exact timing.

Looks yummy! But the timing... It says set time to 20 mins then at 20 mins turn chicken and add peas? Then next step says to serve. Then how long to cook Once chicken has been turned? Thanks!
