Ingredients

Chimchirri

  • 3-5 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 brown onion
  • 2 cups of parsley and/or coriander, firmly packed
  • 1-2 sprigs oregano, fresh, optional
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
  • 1/4 to1/2 cup olive oil

Recipe's preparation

    Chimchirri
  1. 1. Add Garlic and onion and chop speed 7 for 4 seconds

    2. Scrape down bowl and repeat step 1 to achieve finer consistency

    3. Put in Parsley, coriander and oregano (if using) and Turbo for 

    1-2 secs (scrape down sides and repeat until you get fine but not pureed consistency)

    4. Add vinegar, lime juice, chilli flakes and olive oil and Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" for 10 secs until well combined

    5. Place in sterilised jar, making sure it is covered with Olive Oil and store in the fridge

    (will keep for up to 3 weeks)

Tip

This condiment works well as a marinade for Chicken, Beef or Lamb

 

Can also be used as a sauce / side dish
