I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- Place a large steralised glass jar onto the mixing bowl lid and weigh 100 grams of olive oil. Set aside.
(Ensure your glass jar is large enough to store the Raw Tahini Dressing). - Add all ingredients except the olive oil into the TM bowl and blitz for 60 seconds on speed 8. Meanwhile slowly pour the reserved oil onto lid, allowing it to drizzle into the mixing bowl to emulsify.
- Transfer Raw Tahini Dressing back into your steralised glass jar.
- Enjoy as a salad dressing, liven up legumes, replace butter on toast, drizzle over roast potatoes/meat or use as a mayonnaise substitute.
Tip
This recipe is adapted from Megan May's raw cook book, Unbakery. When travelling in New Zealand I found myself returning to their shop and ordering salad just so I could savour the dressing.

"Kettle" Hanmack: Thanks heaps for your rating & review. Sensational idea re the cumin seeds. I will add some next time I make it also
This dressing is delicious. I halved it and used 1 t of cumin seeds instead of the parsley and chives. So so yum. Will definitely be making a full recipe next time!!
Delicious and so easy to make!!
Not much of a mayonnaise fan, so thought I'd try this after seeing Moira's video. Halved recipe. WON'T do that again. FULL jar for me next time. So delicious, going to have over some cauliflower & broccoli tonight. Will make a fresh jar tomorrow. Thanks Moira. 😁😁
You were right, yet again, Moira! This is absolutely delicious. I made a batch yesterday and 'cleaned' out my jug by throwing in a beetroot, carrot, red capsicum, red onion & coriander, 3 seconds later, a basic but yummy beetroot salad. So very good. Definitely my mayonnaise replacement recipe from now on.
I can't rate this highly enough! Big hit with the family. I left out garlic -next time might use some garlic oil. great tip to make easy veggie salad & clean the bowl
Thank you to Moira Tobin for this delicious dressing recipe! It not only tastes sensational, but it's so good for you with all those immune-building ingredients that we all especially need at the moment. I can never waste what's left in the bowl so (again, Moira's suggestion) last night I made a coleslaw salad prior to cleaning the bowl. Amazing 😋
Moira I think converted my family on this one.... We ate half the sauce😂🤣 😋🤩👏 Went over the veg and spuds, then everyone lathered on chicken wings! Brilliant herbs from my garden and lemon from family property 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I think may have to do double batch🤩
So delicious.
I easily adapted for my SIBO/FODMAPS sensitivities by removing the garlic and swapping tamari for Coconut Aminos
Oh my freaking goodness. I could have drank this dressing with a straw! Delish! So Zingy and fresh! I used fresh herbs and had to sub soy sauce bc I didn't have Tamari on hand but WOW. Five stars.
