Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Add the onion & garlic to the TM & chop for 5 secs / speed 5

You want your onions coarsely chopped, not minced

    Add your butter & oil & sauté for 6 mins/ aroma /reverse/ speed 1

Add the rest of the ingredients

Remove your MC & replace with the simmering basket

    Cook for 10 mins / varoma / reverse / speed 2

Tip

I buy tomatoes whenever I see them at a great price & make this gravy / relish.  You can never have too much & it's delicious over pasta, boerewors, meatballs etc.

This a versatile recipe. I used 2 tins tomatoes and mixed herbs and fresh basil. Really good recipe to use with lentil burgers or with pasta. Thanks

Had a stack of tomatoes given to me so thought i would have a go at this. Really nice relish/gravy, our tomatoes were nice and sweet. seperated into bags for freezing so when the grandkids come will have a pasta or meatball meal ready in no time. Thanks for the recipe

This is homemade relish - not bought - try it out - super easy, super delicious!

I would just cut them into quarters.

What else could I use instead of the bought relish?

Do you have to cut up the tomatoes or peel them before placing into the Closed lid"Closed lid"
