Recipe's preparation

  1. Add carrot, celery, zucchini, swede or turnip and chop for 5 seconds on speed 5.  Set aside.

Place leek and garlic into TM bowl and chop for 5 seconds on speed 7.  Add oil and sauté for 3 minutes at 100c on speed 1.

Add chopped vegies that you set aside and cook for 3 minutes at 100c on Reverse + speed 1.

Add chicken drumsticks (assemble around blades), soup mix, stock and water to TM bowl and cook for 30 minutes at 100c on Reverse + speed 1.  (Check to make sure the chicken is cooked, depending on size of drumsticks you may need another 5 minutes).

Remove chicken legs from TM bowl.  Allow to cool slightly then remove the meat off the bones.  Roughly chop chicken meat and add back into soup.  Season with salt and pepper and serve in Thermoserver.

Made this for a friend today who's sick with a cold and she loves it! Tasted awesome. I used a chicken breast instead and rather than 500ml chicken stock plus 200ml water I used 700ml chicken stock. Also added a potato and extra garlic. Amazing! Oh and cooked for 45 minutes and added the diced chicken breast when there was 20 minutes to go

A regular now in our house. Hearty and delicious. I tend to use chicken thighs and sweet potato {instead of swede or turnip)

This is a staple in our house - I tweak it for whatever veges we have on hand, usually throw in some sweet potato and some chick peas too. The boys love this "chickeny soup de loop"! Thanks for the recipe!

This was very nice. I used chicken breast - I'll use thigh next time though, the breast shredded too much. I also added a whole zucchini and a swede and I think broccoli as well. I might add chickpeas near the end next time.

I've been looking for a decent chicken soup recipe, so thankyou!

<one day, I will get around to doing this properly...>

This soup was lovely! I also used chicken breast and also put in a whole zucchini and a whole swede. I also cooked it for a further 10 mins. Thanks for posting it Melinda! Big Smile

Tasty, hearty and healthy. I found the soup mix a little undercooked, so cooked it a little longer [5 mimutes]. I also made some minor changes below :

    - used chicken breast

    - left out the turnip/parsnip & added brocolli florets instead at the very end

    - threw in a whole zucchinni

Love it, full of veggies and flavour.
