Hillbilly's Potato & Leek Soup
- 2 pieces leek, White Par of the Leek Only
- 1 clove garlic
- 250 grams Bacon Pieces
- 3 tsp oil
- 5 potatoes
- 4 tsp TM Veggie Stock
- 500 grams water
- 220 grams full cream milk

- 1. Using only the white part of the Leeks cut into pieces round 20 mm in size and place in Bowl with garlic and chop for 4sec/0C/speed5
2. Scrape down the sides of the TM Bowl with the spatula.
3. Add bacon and oil, place TM Lid back on.
4. Then Saute for 4min/100C/"Counter-clockwise operation" speed1
5. Add the potatoes, veggie stock and water, then cook for 20min/98C/"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed1.
6. Then puree for 1min/0C/slowly from slow to speed9.
7. Add Full Cream Milk then heat for 2min/98C/speed2
8. Serve while hot straight into serving bowls and enjoy.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
