Ingredients

Slice

  • 250 grams plain sweet biscuits
  • 150 grams dried apricots
  • 120 grams Desiccated Coconut
  • 395 gram can sweetened condensed milk
  • 125 grams butter chopped
  • 250 grams choc bits dark or milk

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Grease and line a 28x18cm baking pan with baking paper or foil

    2. Place biscuits into bowl and chop for 5 secs on speed 8, set aside.

    3. Place apricots in bowl and chop for 4 secs on speed 7, set aside.

    4. Place sweetened condensed milk into and chopped butter into bowl,  mix for 6-7 mins at 70 deg C  speed 2.

    5. Add dry ingredients and mix for 20 seconds on speed 3.

    6. Press mixture into prepared tin

    7. Clean and  dry bowl , place choc bits in bowl and melt at 60 deg for 6 mins.

    8. Pour melted chocolate over slice and allow to set. Cut into squares to serve.

Tip

Slice with hot knife into squares. Share with your friends as they are addictive!

    Hands down the best apricot slice recipe I've tried so far. I did increase the amount of apricots to around 250g and drizzled white chocolate over the top instead of the milk/dark choc. Yum-o!

    I made this for hubby yesterday. I made them into balls instead and did half dipped in white chocolate and half just rolled in coconut. I can't eat them myself however hubby gives them the big tick of approval!! Thanks for sharing tmrc_emoticons.-)

    tmrc_emoticons.) We just LOVE this. I made it for the kids' lunchboxes or school, but it lasted just two days, so had to make another batch. Have a big morning tea coming up, and guess what I'm making??!!! Yep, this gorgeous slice!!!

    Made this to see how it went down for my sons birthday, took it to playgroup and everyone loved it came home with empty container.

    This slice was a hit with everyone from my 3year old granddaughter to my 91 year old father-in-law.  Simple and quick to make. I used Cadbury milk chocolate as the topping and it was super yummy. Enjoy!
