Ingredients

  • 80 g Celery, (about 2 sticks)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 carrot, roughly chopped
  • 1 brown onion, halved
  • 1 sprig fresh basil, leaves only
  • 50 g olive oil
  • 400 g Beef mince
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • pinch ground nutmeg
  • 50 g water
  • 50 g tomato paste
  • 370 g tomato puree, (passata)

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place celery, garlic, carrot, onion and basil into mixing bowl and chop 5-7 sec/seepd 7.

    Add beef, bay leaf, salt, pepper and nutmeg and cook 10 mins/100degrees/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1.

    Add all remaining ingredients and cook 15-20 mins/100degrees/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1. Remove bay leaf before serving. 

    Serve sauce warm with freshly cooked wholemeal pasta and parmasan cheese.
