Ingredients

e.g. Curry

  • 1 chicken breast, Cut into bite sized pieces
  • 100 g Tikka paste, (see Fast and Easy Indian Cooking pg.17)
  • 40 g Butter
  • 1 large onion, peeled and quartered
  • 1 tsp dry chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 20 g fresh coriander
  • 20 g garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp ground cummin
  • 2 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 100 g water
  • 90 g tomato puree
  • 500 g Milk, of choice
  • 50 g dry chickpeas
  • 200 g carrots, cut to bite sized pieces
  • 300 g cauliflower
  • 2 potatoes, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 100 g brocolli stalks, roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp cummin seeds

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Mill chickpeas in TM bowl 1min/speed 10. Set aside. 

    2. Add cauliflower to TM bowl and chop 5 sec/speed 5/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" . Place into varoma dish. Sprinkle with cummin seeds and set aside.

     

    3. Heat butter 1 min/Varoma Temp/Speed 1.

    4. Add onion, chilli flakes, ginger paste, fresh coriander, garlic and brocolli stems. Mince 10 sec/Speed 5.

    5. Scrape down sides, add tikka paste and cook 5 min/Varoma Temp/Speed 2/MC OFF.

    6. Avoiding the blades, add dry spices and salt. Cook 3 Min/Varoma Temp/Speed 2/MC ON.

    7. Add water. Cook 5 min/Varoma Temp/Speed 1.

    8. Add chicken, carrot, potatoes, tomato puree, milk and chickpea flour. Cook 20 mins/100 deg/Speed 1/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" .

    9. Taste and add more salt if necessary. Place in thermoserver.

    10. Put 500g water in TM bowl. Place varoma into position and cook cauliflower 12 mins/Varoma/Speed 2.

Tip

Use any veggies you have! I made this to use up some of my veggies at the end of the week!You can cook the cauliflower rice at the same time by putting it on in the last 10 mins of cooking and increasing the temp to Varoma (this is what I did). Note: it may cause your chicken to break up a little more (see pic) but for the added convenience I didn't mind!
