- In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, black pepper, ground ginger, nutmeg, thyme, sage, and paprika. Toss the cubed chicken in this mixture until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
- Place the coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket, spray lightly with oil, and cook for 12 minutes per side (24 minutes total), or follow your air fryer’s manual. Work in batches if necessary.
- Add olive oil (30g) and minced garlic to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 2 minutes/100°C/speed 1 until softened (do not let it brown).
- Add honey (340g), soy sauce (60g), and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes/100°C/speed 2.
- Reduce to 90°C/speed 2 and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to avoid foaming over.
- Once the chicken is cooked, place it in a large serving dish.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and toss gently to coat completely.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
