Ingredients

GFCFSF Chicken Satay

  • 1 onion, peeled and halved
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 30 grams sesame oil
  • 1 heaped teaspoon garam masala
  • 800 grams chicken breast diced
  • 1 lemon, squeezed directly into TM (remove seeds)
  • 80 grams GF Oyster sauce, I used the brand Ayam
  • 4 tablespoons TM peanut butter
  • 1 can organic coconut cream
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour, mixed with 2 tablespoons water

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Chop onion and garlic 3 sec/speed 5, scrape side of bowl.


    2. Add oil and garam masala, saute 2 mins/Veroma/Sp.3.


    3. Add all remaining ingredients (except cornflour/water mix).  Cook 20mins/100c/speed 1.


    4. Pour cornflour/water mix into thermo.  Cook 2 mins/90c/speed 1.


     


     

Tip

Serve with premade basmati rice, kept warm in thermo server.

If making for kids who enjoy vegetables, add chopped veg at the 10 minute mark when cooking.  Carrot, snow peas & red capsicum work well.

If not making for kids, add a little chilli to spice things up!

    Thanks for this great recipe! We only omitted the garlic as there was none in the fridge and we added a chilli, carrot and sugar snap peas! I would say the volume created was more like 6-8 serves as we had plenty left over.

    This was my first savoury dish attempt being a new TM5 owner and it worked a treat! My partner loved it and would happily have it again!
