Satay Sauce
Tip
This is suitable for kids - not too spicy. If you like your satay a little bit more spicy, add an extra 1/2 TBSP curry powder to the sauce.
You can use any type of mince you like. I have tried this with Beef and Chicken and it is delicious!
Cooking time may vary depending on the size of your meatballs. The rice will definitely be done in the 20 min cooking time.
You can make the meatball ahead of time (eg morning or lunch time) and store them in the fridge to make dinner time quicker and easier.

TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

What a delicious and super easy satay sauce! I make up a batch of this sauce every week. Being a wheat and dairy free household, meals can sometimes get a bit boring so it's lovely to have something to liven up an otherwise plain meal.
This was really nice. Not too spicy for the little ones.
This was so yummy, I did leave out the curry powder as we like a peanut taste.
Totally enjoyable and will be having again soon
Loved it. Would add a little less curry powder next time. Made with beef mince and grated veg. Thanks for the recipe.
we loved this... if you like it hot I would add some chilli or sambal. But the flavours as is are moreish.
The meatballs were enjoyed by all. My kids weren't a fan of the sauce but the adults enjoyed it. There was so much sauce leftover so I used for another dish the following day. I think the sauce recipe could easily be halved. It would be good if the recipe included temperature guides along with the cooking times.
This was tasty and easy to prepare. It wasn't clear what temp to cook the sauce. The first time I obviously didn't have to high enough as it was still cold. A little more detail in the instructions would be useful for beginners. I found there was a lot of left over sauce which is great for leftovers.
I have only made the sauce and it is AMAZING just like at i thai resturant. I did add some chilli to mine.
So yummy, enjoyed each and every mouthful. Thank you for sharing.
OMG that satay sauce is amazing, I would add a bit of chilli next time. Winner !!
