I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add onion to bowl and blitz 3 seconds, speed 7.

Add all other ingredients to bowl and mix 10 seconds, speed 5 or until well combined.

Form meat mixture into burger patties (about 8 large burgers).

Barbeque or fry burger patties until cooked through.

Add them to rolls with fillings of your choice.

Tip

Please note that I have used the recipe to make 8 large burgers.  This is a suggestion only.  Of course if you want to make them smaller and get more out of it you can - this is entirely up to you tmrc_emoticons.)

I used Thermie mayo and bread rolls, and filled with tomato, spinach and cheese.

The sausage mince can be replaced with beef or pork mince - whichever your personal preference is tmrc_emoticons.)

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Just made these for a bbq and they were delicious! Didn't use sausage meat. Added zucchini and carrot in with the onion as some one else suggested.

I made these this evening using spring onions and added 100g sliced bread including the end pieces and blitzed with the spring onions and half a carrot. Only used 500g lean beef mince, no sausage meat. These were delicious, thank you.

Tanya, I’ve just made these for my kids’ dinner and am insanely jealous that I didn’t cook one for myself!!! They are SO good (I may have stolen a bite from the 4 year old).

I didnt have sausage mince unfortunately, but other than that I stuck to the recipe (small lie - I added a garlic clove with the onion, because I can’t resist) and they are fab!

We pan fried until brown then finished off in the oven for 8-10 minutes.

    Thanks for a great recipe!!!!
