Recipe's preparation

  1. Add cubed cheese to TM bowl and grate for 10 seconds, speed 5.5.  Remove and set aside in a separate bowl.

Add onion to TM bowl and chop for 3 seconds, speed 7.

Add mince, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper to taste, and the grated cheese to the TM bowl and mix for 10 seconds, speed 5, or until well combined.

Form the meat mixture into burger patties.

Fry or barbeque the burger patties until cooked through.  Once the first side is done and flipped over, place a slice of cheese on top of each burger to melt while the bottom side cooks.

Serve with your choice of lettuce, mayo, avocado and other garnishes, or simply pop them into a low carb roll.

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Wow, made these for dinner tonight and they were a hit with everyone. Teenage son who has hollow legs gave them the thumbs up saying he was full after, there's a first 😂. Will definitely be making again

We had these burgers with Skinnymixers Low Carb Buns. They complimented each perfectly. Our burgers had avocado, onion, egg, this burger, cheese and tomato sauce. On the side we had a salad with camembert cheese and topped with Thermo Foodies Caesar Salad Dressing. Everyone LOVED them! I'll be making more for sure!

    Thanks for sharing

My kids and I loved these. Just made them on our camping holiday. Kids had them in burger buns and I had them with salad and some asparagus that I cooked in the fat from the burgers. Yummo!

This was absolutely delicious!! I had it in a lettuce wrap (with aioli, avo, tomato and more cheese) and the kids enjoyed theirs the traditional way in buns and with chips. I added a garlic clove when I chopped the onion (I love the flavour) and melted additonal cheese on top as I cooked it in the fry pan. Definitely making this again!
