I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Grate cheese 10 sec / Spd 8 & set aside.

  2. Meat sauce
  3. Chop carrots, onion & garlic cloves 5 sec / Spd 5, scrape down sides and chop another 5 sec / Spd 5.Add oil & sauté 2 min / Varoma / Spd 1.Preheat oven to 200° C.Add meat & cook 5 min. / Varoma / Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"  / Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" .Add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, stock cube, sugar & oregano and cook 12 min / 100° / Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation"  / Spd 1-2.Pour into Thermoserver/bowl (doesn't need to stay warm) & rinse out Thermo bowl.

  4. Bechamel sauce
  5. Melt butter for 2 min / 100 ° / Spd 1.Add flour & cook for 1 min / 100 ° / Spd 1.Add milk & salt, scrape flour mixture from bottom through milk & mix for 2 sec / Spd 5 to combine. Cook for 8 min / 100 ° / Spd 2. Check if all flour combined by scraping again with spatula, then briefly mix again for 2 sec / Spd 5.

  6. Layering
  7. Spread some bechamel sauce in the bottom of a baking dish, line with lasagne sheets, top with bechamel again, sprinkle some cheese and then start layering meat, lasagne sheets, bechamel, cheese until top of dish is reached. Generously sprinkle cheese on top layer.

  8. Bake In the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Lasagne is done when a toothpick easily pierces through the layers and the cheese is nicely browned. Let rest for at least 20 min before cutting and serving. Enjoy!!

Tip

I used a cube of beef stock, but it would easily work with TM stock paste, though may require some experimenting to see how much.

Use a slotted spoon to scoop the meat sauce into the baking dish to prevent the lasagne being too saucy!

There is no heat in this recipe, so it's perfect for kids too, but if you're like me and like a little bite, this is extra yummy with some Tabasco sprinkled over tmrc_emoticons.)

Thanks so much for this great recipe it was so easy to make and absolutely delicious. I also added bacon to the meat & some zucchini. My brother and his son (who I made it for) both said it was the best 👍🏻 So this is a go to recipe for me now. Thank you so much - yummo

Great recipe. Relatively quicky and very simple. Next time I would add the cheese into the bechamal sauce as I forgot to sprinkle the cheese during the layers.

great recipe i have made ajustments for our family, so this is mainly so i cn find my notes. 1kg mince meat, double the becheamel sauce recipe. I also used for my mince base the pasta sauce recipe( the one thats had over 100 5 star reviews) saved from recipe community in my condiments file! used one jar so next time try two to 1 kg mince.

Thanks for the recipe I did make some changes so this is mainly for my own future reference when cooking this recipe next! I added 200g mince did all beef thats all i had! 3 cloves garlic, 1 zuchinii, 1 carrot, 60g tomatoe paste, 1 tablespoon vegie stock paste, 2 teaspoons rapadura, 1/3 cup red wine, no herbs.
I doubled the B/sauce only used good pinch of salt, pepper to taste and Parmesan. I make my lasagne bigger as we are a family of 5 and i like to have some in the freezer for a quick meal at a later date Smile
