Recipe's preparation

    Egg Mixture
  1. Crack 6-10 eggs in to the bowl.

Mix for 10 seconds on speed 5.

Tasty Option: add a bit of pouring cream to your egg mixture

Healthy Option: just use egg whites.

  2. Egg Omelette
  3. Wet & scrunch some baking paper.

Line the varoma dish with your baking paper.

Ensure that not all holes are covered to allow steam to travel up to the varoma.

Pour the egg mixture on to the baking paper.

    Rinse the bowl.

Add 500g water in to your bowl.

Place the lid on the bowl and add the varoma dish on top.

Add your choice of fillings to the omellet.

Place the lid on top of the varoma.

Cook for 14 minutes, speed 1 on varoma temperature.

Use your spatular to help transfer the omellet to your plate.

  4. Your Choice of Filling
  5. Prepare and use any filling you choose.

Chop filling in to small pieces.

Spread evenly around the egg mixture.

    Try:

    - Ham, cheese, tomato.

    - Spinach & feta.

    - Blended cheese: tasty cheese, feta cheese & paramesen

Tip

Tasty Opyion: add a bit of pouring cream or buttermilk to your egg mixture for a fluffier look and creamier taste.

Healthy Option: just use egg whites.

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I have just purchased the silicone varoma tray insert and this was perfect! I had to cook it an extra few minutes, but I added cream as suggested and I had lots of cheese in it! Simple and super quick to prep! Thank you 😊
