Tip
When using the TM5, the easiest way to do this recipe is to follow the EDC mushroom risotto recipe, just add chicken and bacon at the point where you add the mushrooms, and then when you add the water add the tomatoes first to the total weight of water and top the rest up with water until the weight is correct.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

A regular weekly staple, thanks
I have made this a couple of times now (i found it really hard to find a tomato based Themi risotto). i ended up having to add more water as the 350mls wasnt enough to complete the cooking, from memory i added 700mls in total. i also increased the cooking time to 18mins. thank you for posting, will be adding it to our dinner rotation
Recipe updated! Hope its all there now! Enjoy!

Hi, not sure on how much stock paste to add and when to add the tin tomatoes. Have just guessed, hope it turns out ok. Sounds delish. Thanks
