Ingredients

Pasta

Ginger, Soy, Garlic & Lemon Prawns

  • 400 g peeled raw prawns, Peel and Devein
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 small pieces fresh ginger
  • 30 g olive oil
  • 80 g Butter
  • 6 leaf lemon balm, fresh
  • 1 tbsp dried chilli flakes, or 1 fresh chilli
  • 1 zest of a lemon
  • 30 g fresh lemon juice
  • 30 g soy sauce, dark
  • 6 sprigs fresh parsley, roughly chopped
  • 6 sprigs fresh coriander, leaves and stalks, roughly chopped
  • 1 to taste salt, sea, fine
  • 1 to taste pepper, black, ground

Recipe's preparation

    Pasta
  1. Cook Pasta on stove top for 8 - 10min as per pachage instructions until al dente.
  2. Ginger, Soy, Garlic & Lemon Prawns
  3. Place the garlic, onion, ginger and fresh chilli pepper if using in the mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 7. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.

    Add the olive oil, butter, dried chilli flakes (if not using fresh), lemon balm and the zest of one lemon. Cook for 2 min/100/speed 1.

    Add the prawns, soy sauce and salt & pepper to the mixing bowl and cook for 2-3min/100/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" .

    Once your pasta is cooked drain and place in your serving dish or Thermoserver, add all of the prawn mixture over the pasta, then add the lemon juice, chopped parsley and/or corriander, and toss to combine.

    Serve with some crusty rustic bread to soak up all that sauce.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
