Ingredients

Sauce

  • 500 g mince
  • 1 onion, peeled and halved
  • 20 g extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cans condensed tomato soup, 440g each
  • 1 heaped tablespoon curry powder
  • 1/2 level teaspoon salt, if desired
  • 2 level tablespoons Corn Flour, gluten free if necessary
  • 1/3 can water

Pasta

  • 1200 g water
  • 1.5 level teaspoons salt, if desired
  • 320 g Dried Pasta, spaghetti, penne, spirals, etc

Recipe's preparation

    Sauce
  1. 1.  Place onion and olive oil into Closed lid"Closed lid" and chop 5 sec/sp 7.  

    2.  Scrape down sides of Closed lid"Closed lid" then saute 3 min/120'C/sp 2.

    3.  Add mince.  Use spatula to break up any large pieces and saute      5 min/120'C/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /sp 1.

    3.  Add soup, curry powder and salt (if using).

    4.  1/3 fill one soup can with water, dissolve corn flour in water and      add to Closed lid"Closed lid"

    5.  Cook 15 min/100'C /Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

    6.  Transfer to thermoserver while pasta cooks.

  3. 1.  Place water in Closed lid"Closed lid" and bring to boil 10-12 min/120'C/sp 1.

    2.  Add salt (if using) and dried pasta through hole in mixing bowl.  

    3.  Cook for time indicated on package/100'C/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /sp 1 or until al dente.

Tip

1.  This recipe freezes well.

2.  Serve with grated cheese of your choice.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31).
