Yes this is a great recipe. Easy and relatively quick to cook. Probably need about 11 - 12 mins for cooking the fettucine, to get it al dente. Certainly a winner with Miss 7. This will become a regular on our menu.
Awesome..
Very yummy, much more flavour than the bought stuff... And very quick & easy to make
Yummy!! Very authentic and not the creamy rip-off carbonara you get at cheap restaurants. I also cooked the egg mixture for 2 mins / 100deg / speed 1 as i didn't like the idea of raw egg. I then tossed the sauce and pasta in a frypan for a few minutes. I served with grated parmesan cheese.
Tasty. Sauce runny. cooked after mixing with pasta.
Too cheesy for me.
Not sure what I did wrong but this was not so good for us Thin and the spring onions were too intense in flavour. Hubby didn't mind it - but I don't think I'll make it again.
Thanks- an old favourite converted to make life easier. NIce and light- not heavy or stodgy as some carbonaras can be. My teens scoffed it down and loved it.
Great!
Absolutely yummy recipe! My husband's favourite so far. I read all the comments before cooking and added the suggestions - peas, onion, garlic, oregano, baked chicken (coated in flour, baked for 20 mins in 180 degree Celsius oven), broccoli, kale. When making the egg mixture, I also cooked for 2.5mins / 100deg / speed 1 as I was giving some of this to my baby so didn't want raw egg. Bit worried about salt content in parmesan but I figured I could give her a little and it wouldn't be harmful. Very tasty though - it will be a regular! I'm so surprised it has so little cream in it but still tastes creamy.
Beautiful! So delicious!
Thanks, delicious and so easy. Gave the sauce an extra 2.5 min sautéing to cook it through as am pregnant.
