Ingredients

Dressing

  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 umeboshi plums
  • 160 g grape seed or rice bran oil
  • 60 g rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon tahini
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 50 g tamari

Recipe's preparation

    Dressing
  1. Add onion, garlic and carrot. Chop 5 seconds speed 6.Cook 3 mins, 100 degrees, speed 2.

  2. Add umeboshi, mix 5 seconds speed 5.

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix 20 seconds, speed 2 until combined.  Pour into a glass jar and serve on salad on tofu when cold.

    Delicious! I didn't have any umeboshi plums on hand, so made without (will try to get some, but still great without them). Have been looking for a good Japanese dressing recipe, and this one perfect for me.
