Ingredients

Dhal

  • 500 gram red lentils
  • 1 Red onions, quartered
  • 2 cans canned diced tomatoes, (400 grams)
  • 3 level tbsp curry powder
  • 1 litre water
  • 2 level tbsp seeded mustard
  • .8 litre Milk, (125ml)
  • 1 lemon, Juice
  • salt, To taste
  • pepper, ground, To taste
  • 1 level tbsp olive oil
  • 100 grams fresh baby spinach leaves

Recipe's preparation

  1. Soak 500 grams red lentils in 1 litres water in a bowl
  2. Add 1 tablespoon Olive oil and 1 red onions quartered to TM Bowl and 45 sec/speed 5. Scrape down sides.
  3. Cook 1 red onions quartered and 1 tablespoon Olive oil for 5 min/Varoma/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" , until tender.
  4. Add 2 can diced tomatoes (400 grams), 3 tablespoon curry, soaked 500 grams red lentils and 2 tablespoon spoon seeded mustard. Cook for 20 min/100°C/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 2
  5. Add coagulated milk, 1/2 cup milk (125ml) and Juice of 1 lemon to TM Bowl and cook for 5 min/100°C/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 2 to combine to a thick pulp.
  6. Add 100 grams of spinach leaves and Salt and pepper to taste and mix for 2 min/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 2 or until combined.
  7. Enjoy.

On its own or with cooked rice
