Ingredients
Beef and Lentil Soup
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot, (approx 150 grams)
- 2 sticks Celery, (approx 200 grams)
- 400 grams round steak, (cut into 2 cm square pieces)
- 400 grams brown lentils, (rinsed)
- 50 grams olive oil
- 2 level tbsp Vegetable stock paste
- 200 grams canned whole peeled tomatoes, (or 2 or 3 fresh soft tomatoes, seeds removed)
- 1.2 litres water
- 2 level teaspoons salt
- 0.5 level teaspoons ground black pepper

- Place onion into TM mixing bowl and chop 3 secs/speed 5 and set aside.
Place carrot and celery into TM mixing bowl and chop 5 secs/speed 4 and set aside.
Add oil and beef into TM mixing bowl and cook 5 mins/varoma/reverse/speed 1. If beef is not fully browned or cooked through, cook a further 2 mins/varoma/reverse/speed 1.
Add water and cook 30 mins/reverse/100 degrees/speed 1.
Add all remaining ingredients (lentils, vegetable stock paste, peeled tomatoes, carrots, celery and onion, salt and pepper) and cook a further 30 mins /100 degrees/reverse/speed 1.
Check if beef is tender and lentils are cooked to your liking, otherwise cook a further 15mins/reverse/100 degrees/speed 1.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
