Place the flour, butter, and cream cheese into the mixing bowl. Blend for 5 sec/speed 6 or until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Knead 1-2 min// until dough comes together.
Transfer dough onto ThermoMat or bench top and knead into a tight ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and place into refrigerator for a minimum 30 minutes.
Add water to mixing bowl.
Place lentils into TM basket then rinse and remove any discolured lentils and foreign matter. Insert the TM basket.
Place the pumpkin into varoma dish. Place Varoma into position and steam 15-20 min/Varoma/speed 3 or until pumpkin is soft. Set pumpkin and lentils aside to cool.
Empty water from mixing bowl. Place onion and garlic into mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 7. Scrape down sides of bowl.
Add onion and spices and saute 4 min/Varoma/speed 1.
Place pumpkin and lentils into mixing bowl. Roughly mash 5 sec/speed 4.
Preheat oven to 180° C. Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
Roll out the pastry between two sheets of baking paper to about 3 mm thickness and cut into 12 cm squares.
Place about 2 tbsp of filling into the centre of each pastry square. To make a "pumpkin" shape, pinch each side of the pastry square to make small tucks. Bring the four corners of the pastry square into the centre and repeat with the side tucks. Press edges together where touching.
Bake for 15 minutes or until pastry is golden.

Tip
Pumpkin pasties are a wizarding food sold on the lunch trolley on the Hogwarts Express. Many people imagine pumpkin pasties as sweets - like American pumpkin pie - but I have always imagined them as something savoury and filling to balance out all the sugar in the other treats Harry Potter and his friends consume on the trip back to school.
Instead of the "pumpkin" shape, these pasties could also be made by pressing the pastry into muffin tins.
Store in fridge.

This recipe is so delicious and is super easy. We first made these when the new Harry Potter book came out, but we keep on making them because they taste so good!
Nice easy recipe. I found I needed to cook my pumpkin a little bit longer than 20min, but no biggie
