Ingredients

CHOC CHIP SLICE

  • 130 grams unsalted butter, cubed
  • 150 grams raw sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 130 grams SRFlour
  • 130 grams wholemeal self-raising flour
  • 60 grams walnuts
  • 60 grams choc chips

Recipe's preparation

    CHOC CHIP SLICE
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C  and prepare and line a tin with baking paper. Add Raw Sugar to TM Bowl and process for 3 seconds on speed 9. Add butter to TM Bowl and process for 20-25 seconds on speed 5.

  2. Add Flours, Vanilla and Egg to TM Bowl and mix for 10 seconds on speed 5, scrape down and mix for a further 10 seconds on speed 5.

  3. Add Walnuts and Choc Chips to TM Bowl and mix on Reverse for 8-10 seconds on speed 5. Place mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Cut into fingers while still in tin, then leave until cool enough to handle. Tip out onto cake rack.

Tip

Instead of Walnuts and Chocolate chips, you could use Almonds and Dates

    Would this work with all just white sr flour or does it need to have wholemeal?

    Turned out nicely for a last minute tuckshop bake. Omitted the nuts and added more chocolate. Did have to add another egg but it may be because I used spelt flour.

    we absolutely love this! I make it at least a couple of times a week, not just for the kids but for everyone at work! Big hit!\

    Its a bit tricky when you try to put it into the pan, but I use a hot metal spoon to smooth it.
