Recipe's preparation

    Chocolate Banana Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 180oc

Line cake tin with grease proof baking paper

    2.  *If starting with raw sugar, mill to caster sugar and set aside.

    3.  Add dark chocolate to TM bowl and grate for 5 seconds, speed 9.  Set aside.  Add walnuts to TM bowl and chop for 2 seconds, speed 6.  Set aside with dark chocolate.  No need to rinse bowl.

    4.  Place caster sugar and roughly chopped bananas in TM bowl.  (I placed 4 lunchbox size bananas in full).  Mix for 3 seconds, speed 7.

    5.  Add SR flour, eggs, oil and milk to banana and sugar and mix for 5 seconds, speed 5.

    6.  Add dark chocolate and walnut to TM bowl and mix for 5 seconds, reverse speed 5.

    7.  Pour mixture into prepared cake tin.  Bake in moderate oven (180o) for 55 minutes or until skewer comes out clean when inserted into the centre of the cake.  Leave to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before turning onto a wire rack.

The cake tastes great, but the texture is so dense and doughy. It didn't rise at all and I think it needs some butter (or a lot more oil) as well as some bicarbonate soda to make it lighter.  What saved it was that half block of chocolate! tmrc_emoticons.;-) The cake has a lot of potential but needs some adjustments To the recipe.

My cake was a little dry & the dark chocolate flavour was a little strong. Maybe a lower percentage dark chocolate (i used 85%) & a bit more oil next time.

Thanks so much for the recipe it was great ! This was my first success at a cake (after not so successful attempt at a carrot cake! )

So moist and spongy and just rich enough with the 100 grams of choc regular milk and no nuts

    This is my new fave!

This cake has been out of the oven and cooled for about 5 minutes and it is half gone already.

I kinda cheated after chopping the chocolate and walnuts, i just threw everything else in together and mixed  tmrc_emoticons.) turned out beautiful. thanks for a great recipe.
