The cake tastes great, but the texture is so dense and doughy. It didn't rise at all and I think it needs some butter (or a lot more oil) as well as some bicarbonate soda to make it lighter. What saved it was that half block of chocolate! The cake has a lot of potential but needs some adjustments To the recipe.
Love this recip. Quick & easy. My go to recipe to use up bananas
Yummmmmm!
Did this today & used plain milk choc buds. Turned out amazing!!! i then added a cream cheese frosting on top... There was only half left after about 10 mins!
My cake was a little dry & the dark chocolate flavour was a little strong. Maybe a lower percentage dark chocolate (i used 85%) & a bit more oil next time.
made this today, and was great, and moist
So pleased people have enjoyed. supa_girl84, wonderful to hear a cake worked for you - yey! I converted a carrot cake recipe too but figured there were plenty on the community already but perhaps I should add it too

Thanks so much for the recipe it was great ! This was my first success at a cake (after not so successful attempt at a carrot cake! )
So moist and spongy and just rich enough with the 100 grams of choc regular milk and no nuts
This is my new fave!
Beautiful and moist, a great way to use up over ripe bananas. Wll definitely make this again. Thanks for posting.
Quick and easy and very tasty, the kids loved it.
