I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- "Closed lid" Weigh 220g water into mixing bowl.
"Blend" 1 min / 37 degrees / slow speed "Gentle stir setting" - Add 1.5tsp dried yeast
Add 375g bakers flour
Add 1.5tsp bread improver
Add 1tsp salt
Add 10g olive oil - "Blend" 10 sec / Speed 6
- "Dough mode" Knead/dough setting 6 minutes
- Remove dough from Thermomix mixing bowl into a oiled bowl and cover with cling wrap.
Let it rise until double its size (approximately 1 hour) - Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Place dough from oiled bowl into bread tin, knock out the air while forming the dough to the shape of the tin. When done cover for another 30 minutes - hour. Until dough has risen to your desired height as once you put it in the oven it will no longer rise. Some days this might take longer then others so keep an eye on it. - Place bread tin with dough into preheated oven add another oven dish with some water in it in the oven (this will make your crust nice and crispy). Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove water dish from oven after 15 minutes and continue baking bread for another 15 minutes or until golden brown and you hear a hollow noise when tapping on the bread.
- "Thickening" Remove bread from tin and let cool on a wire rack. This will make sure it does sweat and make the crust soft.
Tip
If you want to make two loave or 6-8 breadrolls at the same time. Increase water to 450g and all other ingredients double in amount except for salt. Leave salt as 1tsp.

TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
