Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Put all the ingriedients into the bowl except for course sugar.

    2. Mix it all together for 5sec on speed 7.

    3. Then kneed it for 2 and a half minutes on closed lid position pressing the intervall button.

    4. Let the dough rise. Then take a small handfll of the dough and roll it bigger in the middle and smaller to the ends.

    5. Form them into a "Flachswickel" (Flat Winding) Also look at photo), and dip them into the course sugar. Put them on  backing paper lined tray or use the thermomatt. Let them rise again just a little bit, then bake them on 170deg, until they are a light yellow.

Tip

There is a story behind the "Flachswickel". In the second worldwar the wives or mothers of soldiers wanted to send the soldiers something to eat, what didnt go off and also didnt cost much, because the people where poor. They definetly didnt have much sugar. What the farmers had was eggs, flour, milk and "Schmalz" (lard) so the "Flachswickel" were born.
