Recipe's preparation

  1. Add fruit pieces. Blitz until liquid consistency.

Add honey and gelatin mix for 20 seconds speed 4, until combined. Scrape down sides to ensure all ingredients are combined.

Let mixture sit for a few minutes

  2. Heat mixture 5 minutes, 60 degrees, speed 1.

Pour into moulds immediately (silicon moulds work very well) and place in freezer for 15 minutes until set.

    Store in an airtight container.

Tip

This recipe is based on the recipe "Fruit Juice Jellies" in Pete Evans book "Healthy Everyday Living". I adapted the recipe to use in my thermomix and am sharing this adaption with other thermomix users.

*Spreading the mixture thinly on a tray instead of in moulds makes awesome "roll ups" for school lunch boxes

**Other fruit ideas include blueberries, raspberries, lemon, orange, kiwi

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I made these for the first time today and after reading the comments this is how I made them. I used McKenzies gelatin as I couldn’t find Great Lakes (although have now found it online) I used the 2tbs of gelatin but after reading the comment that the McKenzie gelatin has a strong taste/smell I used two heaped tbs of honey and they have come out perfectly! Wonderful recipe. I made strawberry, blackberry & blueberry. Thanks for sharing! This will be on our lunchbox rotation from now on.

Is the Great lake gelatin different to the Mackenzies one? I have made these twice and have both looked brilliant but the overpowering gelatin taste/smell is not nice at all. I couldnt find the Great lake one? Thanks

Works everytime! Don't use pineapple though, unless it has been previously boiled otherwise it won't set (learnt this the hard way!)...

Was so pleased to find this recipe converted to thermomix. I'd made this on the stovetop several times from Petes cook book. So much easier in thermomix. Kids love them and there's some good chocolate moulds to make it fun. Thanks so much.

I made a few different ones - watermelon, orange, kiwi, Apple, strawberry and pineapple.

    Not that well tmrc_emoticons.)

I fiddled about with amounts too but they really just came out like little slushies tmrc_emoticons.)

Should there be some water in this recipe? I don't see how 'pouring' it into the moulds is possible, for me it was more like squash it in with a teaspoon and my finger! tmrc_emoticons.D

Thanks for transferring this recipe! My son likes the strawberry ones but usually have to make at least a double batch

Hi, I'm not sure to be honest. If you do try the leaves let me know how it goes tmrc_emoticons.)
