Ingredients

Beef Chow Mein

  • 1 stalk Celery, roughly chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, roughly chopped
  • 1 onion, halved
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 zucchini, roughly chopped
  • 30 g olive oil
  • 500 g Beef mince
  • 60 g soy sauce
  • 1.5 tsp curry powder, I used garam masala from Basic Cookbook
  • 2 tbsp chicken or vegetable stock paste
  • 3 sml bunches vermicelli noodes
  • 1 package Rice Paper
  • Fresh Tomato, Lettuce, Carrot etc, for toppings
  • sauce, I use sweet chilli sauce or sweet and sour sauce

Recipe's preparation

    Beef Chow Mein
  1. If making mince in TM, do this now, and set aside.

     

    Add celery, carrots, onion, garlic and zucchini to bowl.  Chop for 4 seconds on speed 5.

     

    Add olive oil and saute for 4 minutes/100/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" .

     

    Add mince and saute for 5 minutes/100/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" .

     

    Add remaining ingredients, except vermicelli & rice paper, to bowl.

     

    Cook for 5 minutes/100/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" . Scrape bottom of bowl with TMX spatula and repeat.

     

    Meanwhile cook the vermicelli in boiling water and place in a bowl.

     

    Boil water for a large bowl for softening rice papers in.

     

    Dice fresh tomato, chop lettuce and any other toppings you would like in your rolls.

     

    Soften rice paper, add vermicelli, mince, toppings and sauces of your prefers and fold/roll up.

     

    Enjoy.
