Ingredients
- 1 onion, peeled and halved
- 2 cloves of garlic, peeled
- 40 grams Butter
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3 teaspoons Ground Coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 50 grams tomato paste
- 400 gram tinned chopped tomatoes
- 10 grams sugar
- 700 grams chicken breast, cubed
- 130 grams cream, plus extra if desired
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 400 grams basmati rice

1. Add onion and garlic to Thermomix bowl. Chop 3 seconds/speed 7
2. Add butter, garam masala, paprika, ground coriander, ground ginger, chilli powder, ground cinnaman, ground cardamom and cook 8 minutes/varoma/speed 2 with measuring cup off
3. Add tomato paste, tinned tomatoes and sugar. Cook for 5 minutes/varoma/"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1
4. Add chicken and cream. Cook for 20 minutes/100 degrees/"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed "Gentle stir setting"
5. Pour into Thermoserver and let sit while you cook rice according to EDC or basic cookbook
Tip
Add 200g chopped carrots when you put the chicken in for some veggies

Delicious and so easy, I used thighs and added the carrot.
This taste just like the butter chicken we get from our local Indian take away. Thank you for sharing. Hubby loves it.
Really really good balance of spices. I might try trimmed chicken thighs next time for extra juiciness.
