MAB77:when you need to replace sugar in meals, try using apple. I just add slices of apple to my recipe and it gives it that sweetness you need. When I make my spaghetti Bolognaise sauce, I add apple because the first time I made it my husband said it needed to be a bit sweeter. My son and I found it just fine. So the next time I added apple. You get so used to eating so much sugar in foods that you buy it's nice to make your own to eliminate as much as you can.

Love this hearty breakfast, I serve it with some fresh baby spinach. Hubby makes it once a fortnight and there's always plenty of leftovers.
