Ingredients
Ham and Chicken Meatballs
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1 tbsp dried italian herbs
- 350 g chicken breast, cut in 3cm cubes semifrozen
- 200 g ham, cooked, roughly chopped
- 50 g breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tbsp Vegetable stock paste
- Mixed veges
Tomato Sauce
- 1000 g fresh tomatoes, cut in quarters
- 1 tbsp dried italian herbs
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1 tbsp Vegetable stock paste
- 20 g olive oil
Maple Mustard Mayonnaise
- 250 g Grapeseed Oil
- 1 egg, at room temperature
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 40 g Maple syrup

- Add garlic to bowl 3 secs spd 7 MC on. Scrape down and repeat if necessary.
Add chicken to bowl and turbo 4-6 times until chicken is minced MC on.
Add ham, herbs, breadcrumbs and stock paste, 20 secs spd 8 MC on.
Roll into meatballs, place on varoma tray and set aside. - Add garlic to bowl 3 secs spd 7 MC on.
Scrape down.
Add oil and saute 3 mins Varoma spd 1 MC on.
Add tomatoes, herbs and stock paste and chop 5 secs spd 5 MC on.
Place varoma in position and set 20 mins varoma spd 1
After 5 mins add mixed veges to varoma tray and continue cooking.
Add meatballs and veges to thermoserver to keep warm.
If the sauce is not thick enough, cook an additional 10-15 mins Varoma spd 1 with MC off and basket on lid. - Weigh oil into a jug and set aside.
Add egg, mustard and maple syrup to bowl MC on.
Whilst blades are spinning on spd 4, slowly add oil onto lid until all combined (approx 2-3 minutes)

Tip
Meatballs can be served with tomato sauce and veges as a main dish, or with maple mustard mayonnaise as an appetiser or snack.
Omit veges if using as a snack, and add 1000g water to bowl instead of the tomato sauce ingredients.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
