Ingredients

Jen's Bolognaise

  • 1 large onion, (or 2 small)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 Green Chillies, Seeds Removed
  • 1 red capsicum
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 500 g Beef mince
  • 1 can Ardmona Tomatoes, Crushed
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon TM Chicken Stock Paste, I like Skinnymixers one. You could use TM veg stock paste instead
  • 60 g water
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Mixed Italian Herbs/Seasoning, Use fresh if you prefer

Recipe's preparation

  1. Cut veg into rough chunks and chop in thermomix, 5 sec sp 4. Chop longer if you prefer hidden veg.

    Scrape down the sides of the bowl, add olive oil and sautee 2 mins 30 sec, 120 degrees sp 1.

    Add beef mince and brown 5 mins, 100 degrees, soft speed reverse.

    Break up mince a little with the spatula if required, add remaining ingredients and place the simmering basket on top of the lid instead of the measuring cup. Cook 20 mins, 100 degrees, soft speed reverse.



    Serve with grated parmesan cheese, spaghetti and warm garlic bread !

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
