This recipe has been on steady rotation for us for the last 7 years!!
We LOVE it and it cooks perfectly every single time!
Thank you for sharing Marie!
absolute a recomendation to make.....
This was GREAT.
Left out sausage as I didn't have any and added red capsicum to tomatoes as I didn't have enough and it was good. Thanks for sharing.
a few dashes of peri peri sauce would be great
Funny that the kids and hubby like it - it was inspired by my partner!
A complete carnivore with a natural aversion to veggies! This is something he created while I was out doing demos! I even adapted it to add the tomatoes.... I had to restrain myself and not add spinach and zuchini. We need to listen to our family (sometimes!)
I completely understand what you are saying, Shell1970......its a base to add what your family like.......'pizza rice' is pretty much spot on, mardih.
As with a lot of recipes, it's all about the seasoning.....whatever suits your taste buds - with us, its usually more chilli!!
Quite yummy. Kids and hubby enjoyed it.
I made this tonight mainly for my partner and 3 yr old because I could call it 'pizza rice'! It was a hit with them both. I liked it too - used half a litre of beef stock and the rest water (for the 1100g water). I also put in some butter and fresh parsley at the end with the cheese to 'sit'. There is definately room for improvement but it's a great concept and a male/toddler pleaser!
I have just made this and it tastes like its missing something but can't work out what ??? It's nice but I don't love it
