Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 500 grams lamb mince
  • 3 slices bread
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 level tablespoons oregano leaves, fresh
  • 100 grams feta cheese, cubed
  • olive oil cooking spray

Salad

  • 250 grams cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber, cut into thin sticks
  • 1/4 --- cup Mint Leaves, shredded
  • 1 level tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small lemon, juiced

To Serve

  • pita bread, cut into wedges
  • tzatziki dip, EDC page 73

Recipe's preparation

    Meatballs
  1. Break bread (frozen is good) into pieces and place into bowl along with garlic, feta and oregano leaves 10 secs speed 8.

    Add mince and egg, turbo 2 secs 3 times or until well mixed.

    Shape into balls and place on baking paper lined tray. Spray with olive oil and bake in oven at 200 for 15 mins or until cooked through.

     

  2. Salad
  3. Combine tomatoes, cucumber and mint. Whisk together oil, lemon juice and salt and pepper. Pour over salad.

  4. Serve meatballs with salad, pita bread and tzatziki dip.

Tip

Mince your own meat. Microwave pita bread so it is lovely and warm.

    I have made this twice now for our family and it is a hit with everyone which is not something that happens often I assure you!   Going to make it again tonight.   Thanks for a great recipe Cooking 7

    Very tasty, I used beef and left out the mint. Had to substitute the yogurt for sour cream and cream cheese. The whole family loved it. Looking forward to trying it again with all the right ingredients
