Ingredients

  • 30 grams sesame seeds (and extra to roll in)
  • 40 grams chia seeds
  • 35 grams sunflower seeds
  • 1 centimetre ginger
  • 1 carrot
  • 200 grams brown rice
  • 1 small tin of corn
  • 2 cups of diced pumpkin
  • 2 tablespoon tamari
  • 1.5 litres water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 30 grams olive oil

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

    Add sesame seeds, chia seeds and sunflower seeds to bowl.  Mix for 20 seconds on speed 9. Set aside

    Rinse bowl

    Insert simmering basket into bowl.  Fill bowl with 1.5 litres of water and a teaspoon of salt. Mix for 5 seconds on speed 5.  Add pumpkin to varoma dish and set in place.  Cook for 40 minutes on varoma speed 2.5

    Once cooked set rice aside.  Empty and dry mixing bowl.  Add onion, carrot, garlic and ginger.  Chop on speed 7 for 7 seconds.  Add corn kernels and olive oil.  Saute for 3 minutes on Varoma speed 2.

    Add brown rice and seed mixture and mix on speed 4 for 20-30 seconds

    Wait to cool then roll into balls with some extra sesame seeds to coat and bake in oven for 30-40 minutes or until golden
