Transfer contents of bowl into Thermoserver or serving dish (at this point you would add the spinach) & season with lemon, salt & pepper. Serve immediately, but if adding spinach, cover & set aside for 5min to allow the spinach to wilt.

Serve with toasted Turkish bread or with a dollop of yoghurt. Great as a side dish for 4 or a main for 2 people.

Tip

Srinkle toasted pinenuts/slivered almonds for some crunch

To make it saucy, use 1 tin of chopped tomatoes in place of tomato paste

Bulk it out with extra veggies, such as baby spinach, zucchini, brocolli, kale

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

This was good. I admit I haven't used silverbeet before so I first cut up only the leafy green bit but that amounted to only about 150g so I cut a bunch of the stalks (leaving off only the hard base) and that brought me to 350g and was still good. Also I left the MC on for the chickpea and silverbeet step (instructions didn't say but I think it is intended to be MC on). Thanks for the recipe!

lindaskitchenrescue: Hi tmrc_emoticons.) The Varoma temp can be used to saute, which is what I used it for in this instance (garlic and onion) tmrc_emoticons.)

You mention using varoma heat, but there's no mention of actually putting anything in the varoma. Can you please clarify?
