Add brown suger approx 2-4 table spoons do this a spoon at a time.
The sauce should go from a blandish flavour to being able to really taste the ingredients on your tongue (reminder this can burn you)
Cook for a further 15 minutes as before
Once you are somewhere near happy with the flavour continue to cook until sauce is quiet thick
You may need to add some additional wine at the last section but the sauce needs to be quiet thick and the suger should of had a chance to caramelise.

Only used 1/2 cup of white wine & 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Added butter with tomatoes. Perfect for pizza but would also go well with spaghetti bol
This was delicious and enjoyed as a different kind of pasta sauce, we added to cooked beef mince that I cooked up in the pan on the stove then added this sauce and cooked for a bit longer together. The instructions were a little tricky to follow but I just winged a lot of it! I added the butter when I added the tomatoes. It says litre of wine? But I only need about 3/4 of a cup and still quite liquidy. Will definitely make again. Was a good way to use up our cherry tomatoes that are in abundance.
