Ingredients
kasundi Sauce-Relish
- 4 cloves garlic
- 40 g ground ginger
- 2 Red Chilli's
- 2 tsp yellow mustard seeds
- 1 Granny Smith Apple, peeled and quartered
- 2 whole cloves
- 40 g olive oil
- 1 tsp whole cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Corriander Seeds
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 150 g malt vinegar
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp raw sugar
- 100 g tomato paste

1. Add garlic,ground ginger,chilli's,mustard seedsapple and cloves to bowl and chop for 5 seconds speed7
2. Scrape down sides of bowl and add olive oil and saute for 3 minutes 100 deg speed 1
3. Add all remaining ingredients and cook for 30 mimutes 100 deg speed 1
4. Spin for 20 seconds slowly increasing speed to speed 7,let cool then pour into glass jars (i usually get 2 small sauce botlles full)

Tip
This Kasundi is traditionally used in curries such as butter chicken but can also be used as a side sauce or dipping sauce,it can also be used on pies etc instead of tomato sauce
