    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

You could buy GREEN’S gravy granules at most supermarkets to use if you can’t get Bisto, pretty much same thing.

Kreative Kappy: okay, so two years later, Bisto is a style of gravy granules that you just add water to and stir to get gravy. It's from England, but I've seen it in Australian supermarkets lately, and sometimes in NQR and Reject Shop.

    This was way too salty.

I used Gravox, so not sure if that would be why? The meat was so tender.

I made this the other day, but put 4 shanks in the varoma. I turned them half way and added about 20 minutes to the steaming time. After that the meat fell off the bone, I put it in ramekins, and topped it with 'no fail potato mash' (from this site) little grated cheese and put it in the oven for 15 minutes to melt the cheese, served it with steamed vegies for dinner. Delicious!  Serves enough for 4 people.
