Ingredients

Thermomix Play Dough

  • 200 g water, (add colour to water for a more vibrant colour)
  • 15 g oil
  • 60 g salt, fine
  • 400 g plain flour
  • 15 g cream of tartar
  • 2-3 drops essential oil of your choice

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Add Water, salt, cream of tartar and colouring into bowl

  2. 2. Heat Blend"Blend" Kettle"Kettle" on Warm up mode at 60deg

  3. 3. Flour, oil, and essential oil (optional) to bowl and mix Blend"Blend" 45secs, speed 4

  4. 4. Check consistency and add more flour if required. Scrape down sides of bowl.

  5. 5. Select Dough mode and knead for 1min. Check consistency. If too sticky add more flour and knead for a further 30sec.

  6. 6. Remove from bowl and place on silicone bread mat or clean dry surface. You can choose to add essential oils at this stage and knead them/play by hand.

    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
